The way you harness the positive power of distractions is one of the most important skills you can learn. One of the things that makes the world of internet marketing so addicting is that, in a very small amount of time, you can be chatting on the phone with your wife or girlfriend and then you are off and doing some press releases for new products, getting your book launched, or maybe even attending a press conference. However, if you don't know how to use this distracted focus you will find yourself not getting anywhere fast.


When I first started out online I made a lot of mistakes. And I am not talking about the type of mistakes that you might make, like saying something like "wat if I get banned from posting here" or something along those lines. 
What I am talking about is the mistakes that I was making when it came to my focus. If you are going to focus on something, it has to be something that you are passionate about. It is that simple. There are other ways that you can harness the power of distractions, but one of the best is simply to ignore them. If you want to get anything done, it is critical that you ignore the distractions. 
How can you do this? Well, for starters, you will find that you are much more likely to finish whatever it is that you are trying to do. This goes hand-in-hand with the previous point. 
If you are truly passionate about what you are doing, you will find that it is much easier to focus on something. In addition, it is going to help if you can find a way to redirect your attention away from the task at hand. For example, if you are working on writing a blog post you can turn your attention to typing the blog post instead of actually focusing on the keyboard. 
Another way that you can harness the positive power of distractions is to make sure that you do not let them have control over you. 
The easiest way of doing this is to make sure that you are able toquickly change what you are doing. For example, if you are reading an article on something that you are interested in and you find that you are becoming distracted, then you can change the article and resume reading on your own time. 
As a matter of fact, this may even be more important than reading the article in the first place. 
This is because if you allow the article to become too much of a distraction, then you may not finish reading it entirely. 
When you are trying to figure out how you can harness the positive power of distractions, you should also understand that they are sometimes unavoidable. For instance, if you are talking on your cell phone, then it is going to be tempting to read it while you are on the cell phone. 
However, this is not always a good idea. In fact, it may actually become more of a nuisance rather than a helpful tool. For this reason, you need to know how to deal with distractions when they do arise. 
One of the best ways of harnessing the positive power of distractions is to simply redirect your attention. For example, if you become very focused on a television screen, then you can move it to a bookshelf or a magazine rack. 
However, once you do this, then you will have made yourself more aware of that television screen. In fact, you might not even be able to see it anymore. 
This is a way of focusing on something else while still being aware of it. Of course, the more you practice this type of control over distractions, the more you will learn how to effectively deal with them. It is not a simple task. 
However, it is definitely possible if you are willing to practice. When you start to see how easy it is to harness the positive power of distractions, you will find that you will use them in a lot more situations. This will leave you with a lot more positive results as well.
